Hello bank! pop-up closing events

After three months of technological discoveries, interesting workshops and 15 000 visitors, we said goodbye to our Hello bank! pop up in Brussels with not one, but two closing events.

On Friday, we hosted a fashion show of CuteCircuit, the first ever in Belgium. CuteCircuit is a fashion brand of wearable technology, using smart textiles and micro electronics in unique fashion designs. They showed different garments with led lights, that could be controlled by the models themselves with their smartphones or just be changed in interaction with the environment. The possibility to change the light patterns of your garments brings a sustainable solution for ever changing colour and pattern trends. A handbag that display text or tweets offers new ways of communication.

Since their first collection in 2004, CuteCircuit can count on a lot of interest from big stars like Katy Perry. Their FW14 collection had already considerable attention during New York Fashion Week, so it was a huge honour to invite them in Brussels. Besides, their concept of bringing physical and digital together in an innovating way, perfectly fits the idea of our pop-up. Fans, press, bloggers and our own team had motivating discussions with CEO Ryan and creative director Francesca about the future of wearable technology.

Saturday, we officially closed the doors of the Hello bank! pop up in Brussels. During the day everyone had a last change to design a personalised t-shirt, to scan themselves in 3D or to experiment with the virtual reality of the Oculus Rift. Free cotton candy, (blue) hot dogs, cutomizable baubles and personalised Christmas post cards, made it a lively happening.

Together with more than 1500 visitors, we have said goodbye to our phygital experience store. But no worries. Soon we will see you all in Liège!
