COMMUNITY BUILDING. How did the Phygital lab do in Liège?

Quite well, thank you very much. Over 8.000 people took a 3D-puppet of their very own self back home or followed one of the many workshops and tasted our delicious food. For real? Owww yes, so we’d say the Hello bank! Phygital lab in Liège was a huge succes.

We closed the Phygital lab in Liège a week ago fittingly with a closet sale. There were colourful donuts provided by DoNuts, a local start-up, personalised phone covers drawed by Erbery and of course 3D printing & t-shirt design.

Over 1.000 people came to have a last look on the Hello bank! Phygital lab before it was shut down, so we topped of at 8.250 visitors in Liège.

Now I hear you think: what’s a Phygital lab again? What has Hello bank! to do with it? And why is Trendwolves writing about it?

Hello bank! - the first 100% mobile bank in Belgium - invited Trendwolves (that's us) to help bridge the gap between digital en physical. We combined the two universes in one place: the Phygital lab. It offers a unique consumer experience, a place where technology and people meet. Because for youngsters (and we think for all of us in the near future), tech and authentic human relationships are equally important.

That’s why we offered visitors in Liège a mix of gatherings, technological experiences, workshops and goodies. You could design and print your own t-shirt, ask experts (such as Béa Ercolini or Kaer from Starflam) for help to realise your pet project or your life long dream, take a tiny version of yourself home with you, learn how to prepare delicious veggie meals, make music while swaying on our swings and get a discount on food and drinks if you did a workout with our Kinect video game. You should have seen it to really believe it. Luckily you can still check out the movie clip below!
