Kids research for Klasse

What do kids think about bullying?
How can we find out in a playful way?

Klasse, the communication platform for schooling in Flanders, asked us for an in-depth research on bullying in the age group 10-12 years old. A delicate topic for a target group that doesn't like long, boring surveys.
We developed an online game which made the kids construct their own unique avatar by answering questions on bullying. This quantitative survey we complemented with a qualitative research project. With a huge game board we visited several schools and while playing with the kids, we discussed the different aspects of bullying.
With this research we answer some glaring questions, and we brought a breath of fresh air to the debate. On top, the game provoked a dialogue at several schools, in families, between kids, in press.

Our answer:
- quantitative research
- gamification of the questionnaire
- development of an online game to gather data
- development of offline board game for schools
- report & presentation
