“The future matters, that’s what we believe”, is the mission of Second Sight, the organisation behind the award. The need for experts with knowledge, vision and views about the future is rising. The world is changing at an accelerating pace. Foresight experts help organisations to move along the time. To have a better grip on the signs of the time. And since there are more future stories than one, it is important to showcase various ideas and different experts. 

After receiving the TWOTY medal, Tom did a call to action to the audience. “Trendwatching goes further than observating and bringing the story.
